Favorite IKEA Hacks

I LOVE IKEA! Well..when it’s not super busy 🙂

I love the self satisfaction of finding inexpensive pieces and styling them to look high end. One day I’ll have the money to afford every high-end piece of furniture I’ve lusted over. In the mean time, here are my favorite IKEA hacks that show a clever use of the Swedish furniture giant’s standard items.

For a quick fix, try O’verlays. I have use these personally and they’re a nice touch to add character to a basic Ikea Dresser.

I purchased the Anne pattern. It’s like a laser-cut piece of light plastic/PVC sheeting substrate about 1/8 inch thick. They come in plain white. I spray painted it silver and then, after measuring, glued the pieces using liquid nails to the front of a white malm dresser.
